    The story of electricity supply development in Bristol from 1863 to 1948, showing little seen photographs of old Bristol.
  2. “THE EARLY SUPPLIES OF ELECTRICITY IN THE SOUTH WEST”
    Electricity development in the South West at the very earliest times from 1850 to 1910, showing old photographs from all the main towns in the S.W. peninsula.
  3. “HOUSEHOLD ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES OF A BYGONE AGE”
    Electrical appliance development from the 1880’s, through the twenties and thirties with additional help from some smaller appliances.

    A talk with slides and video.
  2. “BRISTOL MEMORIES”
    A look back at Bristol from the late 1800s to around 1980, with an electrical flavour. Illustrated by photos from the Western Power Electricity Historical Society collection, many not seen elsewhere. This talk can be accompanied by a selection of items from the Society’s museum.
  3. “HALF A CENTURY OF ELECTRICITY”
    A film show from 1915 to the 1960s.
    Duration about an hour but can be shorter.
  4.  “RISE OF THE ROBOTS – PRINCETOWN, THE WORLD’S FIRST REMOTE CONTROLLED POWER STATION”
    The first “pocket power station” was commissioned in 1959.
    A talk with slides and video.
